I grew up in Munich, Germany. Β After college I worked for the justice system in Bavaria for three years. My husband and I decided to have six kids, and I had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom. We had three girls when we moved to Urbana, IL in January 1989, where we had three more girls. We lived in Illinois for 30 years, with one year in Japan in between. In the summers, we built a house in Santa Fe as a family. Β When our girls started moving out, I took in Chinese high schoolers and took care of them. Β After my husband died, I moved to Santa Fe full time in 2019. My youngest daughter Amrei came with me. Β In 2021, on the day Reverend Liz was introduced as new minister, we found Unity and felt very welcome and at home here. I volunteered for the youth ministry and took over the Flower Team.
Attending the Unity board meetings as a guest made me aware what great cooperation can accomplish and how it happens. After my experience with my big family, I value community and look forward to being part of the Board of Trustees.
