Our Social Action Team is sponsoring a service opportunity here at Unity Santa Fe, called Care and Share, as a way of blessing others in our local Santa Fe community.
By talking with local social service organizations, we've learned what some of the greatest needs are in our community.
Each month, we are highlighting one specific need and offering the opportunity for you to donate items to fill that need.
Court Appointed Special Advocates, First Judicial District, commonly known as CASA First, supports abused and neglected foster children who have experienced physical, emotional, or sexual abuse and severe neglect. Help support these kids by bringing any of the following items to church and placing them in the donation box inside the front door:
ITEMS ACCEPTED THIS MONTH:
• TOILETRIES for babies, kids, and teens
• TOYS for babies
• SCHOOL SUPPLIES
• BACKPACKS, teen-size
CASA First has advocated for thousands of foster children from Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos since 1995. We are active members of the National CASA Association and the New Mexico CASA Network. The mission of CASA, First Judicial District is to support and promote volunteer advocacy so that children and youth from Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos Counties who are trauma-impacted or system-involved can be safe, have permanent connections, and the opportunity to thrive.
