I am originally from San Diego and lived there until my junior year as an undergraduate when I transferred to the University of California, Davis where I finished my bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a focus on Latin America. From there, I joined the Peace Corps and served as a Health & Wellness Volunteer in Honduras for 2 years working with the Honduran Ministry of Health to train community health workers, midwives, and setting up various health programs for the community. When I returned to the U.S., I headed to Pennsylvania for graduate school and earned both my master’s degree in Social & Economic Development and also an MBA.
I have spent the majority of my career working directly in corporate America as an executive coach, leadership development advisor, and consultant. I am also an entrepreneur and, in my current business, The Zen Within, I help people and teams enhance professional productivity, personal effectiveness, and their dynamic leadership skills. I do this through custom learning experiences, executive coaching, keynote speaking, and transformational retreats. I am in the process of writing a book about how to navigate the many challenges of integrating a successful career with personal wellbeing.
Personally, I love languages and culture and have lived, worked and traveled extensively throughout Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Asia Pacific. I speak fluent Spanish and would love to learn additional languages at some point.
I moved to Santa Fe in 2021 and decided to join Unity Santa Fe in 2024. I saw Reverend Liz in a video and loved her style and her message so I decided to come check it out! I found terrific people here who have a similar appreciation of our infinite spirituality, so I felt called to engage more. I serve as a Platform Assistant and as the Prosperity Team lead. I look forward to seeing what I might contribute to the overall wellbeing of Unity Santa Fe as a member of the Board of Trustees if I am selected for the role.
