Tashima Wildrose

Alternate Trustee & Keeper of The Flame

I was born in New York and attended the University of Buffalo. I have lived in New Mexico for more than 15 years. My life has led me to many amazing places and adventures. I chose at an early age to live a life of travel and adventure. I have walked across the country for Global Nuclear Disarmament and World Peace, been an apprentice in a Traditional Wooden Boat Building Shop in Maine, walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela and sailed for three months in the Bahamas. I trekked in the Himalayas, Peru and Thailand. Β With that said, I love to be at home and make a cozy and welcoming place for myself, family and friends. I have been a preschool teacher, a Program Supervisor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, a volunteer coordinator for Solace Crisis Center and an Outdoor Leader and Experiential Educator. Spiritual pursuits have always interested me. I have lived in an Ashram, attended Buddhist retreats and attended many women's ceremonial circles. My great love is the outdoors and being in nature. I started attending Unity Santa Fe in October of 2023 and found it to be a welcoming place for me as a lesbian. Β I am a member of the Community Action Team. I have enjoyed the connections to Unity and look forward to serving on the Board to help guide the organization forward.
